Welcome to Birdnest Media. Behind the lens is Melina, an experienced landscape and nature photographer based in Australia, specialising in travel photography.

Becoming a photographer, was not something I ever really planned. I’ve always had a love for taking photographs and capturing special moments in my life. I’ll always remember receiving my first Kodak instamatic camera for my 8th Birthday and carefully crafting each photo. It wasn’t until I purchased my first DSLR in January 2017,  and later in the year, I commenced the Cert IV in Photography and Photo Imaging at PSC when I really started to take my photography seriously. Now having completed the Advanced Diploma, I’ve evolved from street & travel photography, into finding my voice and using the medium for self expression to communicate my responses to the world around me.
